Senior Paralegal – Construction Defect


Location: 200 E. Robinson Street, Orlando, FL

Pay: $27 - $28 an hour

Schedule: 40 hours per week; Regular business hours


Job Summary:

Provides professional assistance and support to the legal staff in the development, research, management and resolution of legal issues involving CONSTRUCTION DEFECT cases.

Prepares and drafts moderately complex legal documents, agreements and pleadings related to litigation and non-litigation matters.


Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides broad based legal support services to attorneys and counsel in the form of legal research, drafting of legal and business communications, and internal systems support and maintenance.
  • Conducts legal research, analyzes and compiles data from multiple sources such as on-line references, digests, practice manuals or other sources.
  • Researches statutes, regulations and court decisions. Prepares summaries of digests and recommendation resolution to legal questions.
  • Prepares internal memos to team members and internal clients.


Requirements:

  • Education: Undergraduate studies in business administration, insurance or other related area preferred
  • Designations: Certification in paralegal studies preferred
  • Experience: Typically 5+ experience as a paralegal with proven performance; Experience in construction defects a plus
