Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to join our team at our leading chemical manufacturing company. In this critical role, you will lead efforts to enhance the reliability, availability, and efficiency of our manufacturing processes and equipment. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize reliability programs, ensuring that operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Reliability Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and manage the overall reliability strategy for the plant, aligning with corporate goals and operational needs.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into equipment failures, analyzing root causes and developing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Predictive & Preventive Maintenance: Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of predictive maintenance strategies, utilizing tools like vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis to monitor equipment health.
  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of critical assets, including new equipment commissioning, reliability testing, performance tracking, and end-of-life analysis.
  • Reliability Metrics & Reporting: Establish key reliability performance indicators (KPIs) and track the performance of assets and systems. Prepare regular reports for leadership, identifying areas of improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement and champion continuous improvement initiatives using reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), failure modes effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause failure analysis (RCFA) methodologies.
  • Collaboration & Training: Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to foster a culture of reliability. Lead training sessions to upskill personnel on reliability best practices and tools.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in the maintenance and reliability functions.
  • Project Management: Lead or participate in capital improvement projects, ensuring reliability goals are met within budget and timelines.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience in chemical manufacturing or in the industrial reliability and maintenance sector
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in reliability engineering, with a focus on chemical manufacturing or industrial environments. Experience in predictive maintenance, failure analysis, and asset management is required.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, maintenance strategies, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient with reliability tools and software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, RCM software).
  • Expertise in condition monitoring techniques and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, including ISO 55000 (Asset Management) and ASTM standards.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience leading root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and lead teams to success.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
