We're seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our client's team. As a Shop Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will work and coordinate with the Fabrication Shop Foreman and Complete activities in manufacturing of sheet metal and plumbing fabrication and pre-fabrication.
- Type: Full-time, Direct/Permanent Position
- Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Mon - Fri
- Salary: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
- Location: Exeter, NH
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal/plumbing products
- Interpret blueprints and select appropriate materials
- Measure, mark, cut, and fit materials using various tools and machines
- Assist in HVAC and plumbing system manufacturing
- Coordinate with Foreman on efficient and safe fabrication processes
Qualifications
- 1-4 years' fabrication industry experience
- OSHA 10 certification
- Strong skills in teamwork, communication, time management, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using hand tools, measuring tools, and reading blueprints
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. with assistance, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, vision, and physical mobility
Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal / plumbing product
Inspects work in progress and finished products.
Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using shop machines, hand and power tools, rulers, calculators, and squares.
Ensure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating sheet metal / plumbing systems
Select the appropriate type of gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications
Layout, cut, fit, form, and install assemblies made from a variety of materials when provided with blueprints, samples, or verbal instruction.
