You will work closely with our infrastructure and developer teams, sharing your insights and standard processes. This gives you a vital role in helping drive growth platforms and supporting operational pillars while striving for long-term value creation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of Azure cloud spending, using Azure Cost Management tools to break down costs by service, department, and project.
  • Identify underutilized or inefficiently allocated Azure resources and propose optimization strategies such as right sizing or reserved instances.
  • Build comprehensive and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports on cloud spending, highlighting trends, anomalies, and areas of concern.
  • Perform variance analysis between actual cloud spend and budget forecasts, investigating and explaining significant discrepancies.
  • Develop comprehensive policies for cloud procurement, usage, and cost allocation, ensuring efficient and responsible spending.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions and mentorship for various teams to improve understanding of cloud economics and responsible cloud usage.
  • Work with developers and infrastructure staff to make sure funding resource tags are included in DevOps pipelines.
  • Engage with external vendors and consultants to benchmark cloud spending and explore opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
  • Assist with procurement of Azure credits.
  • Assist in Identifying and tagging resources with funding sources (like Cost center) or with runtime environments (like Production, Development) and retrieve usage file from Azure portal.
  • Continuously learn and develop your skills regarding Azure services and cloud financial management trends through professional development and certifications.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field courses.
  • 3 years of proven experience working with Microsoft Azure services, with a focus on Azure Cost Management and Azure Advisor.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing principles.
  • Experience with agile and scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience managing FinOps for various initiatives, particularly migrating workloads from on-premises to Azure.
  • Experience leading or mentoring a team of developers and architects.
  • Experience working with multiple clients across different domains and industries.
  • Experience in working with other cloud platforms.
