Currently, they are seeking an Electrical Engineer for their site in Charleston, TN.


Position Overview:

The Electrical Engineer will support multiple chemical production units within the Silicones Engineering Department by performing a variety of electrical and automation engineering tasks. This role will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of production systems, ensuring safe operations, regulatory compliance, and enhancing system efficiency. The position requires close collaboration with various engineering teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and drive continuous improvement activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EI&C) teams to ensure safe and compliant operations of production units.
  • Maximize production unit availability, meeting required capacity and quality standards.
  • Maintain and optimize instrumentation and automation systems for the production units.
  • Assist with capital projects, including engineering support for technology transfer across sites.
  • Troubleshoot and debottleneck issues in packaging production units.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain engineering specifications, standards, and preventative maintenance plans.
  • Supervise third-party engineering and maintenance service providers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and other service units, to ensure optimal solutions.
  • Provide technical reports, keep MOCs and equipment records up to date.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in instrumentation or automation engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering regulations, standards, and codes.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and systems integration.
  • Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under schedule and cost pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Preferred but not required: experience with Siemens Drives/PLC, Delta V instrumentation, and automation systems (especially related to material handling and packaging).
  • Must be physically fit to wear an air-purifying respirator when necessary.
