Reports to: General Manager – Gas Turbine Shop Repairs
Company Overview:
We specialize in the repair, overhaul, and replacement of parts for high-speed rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines, compressors, expanders, and other industrial rotating equipment found primarily in the Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Petrochemical, Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Fertilizer and Power Generation markets.
Position Summary
The Houston Aero Superintendent oversees the daily operations of the Aero GT Division with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. They cultivate a positive work environment, drive technical advancement, and ensure effective collaboration with customers and stakeholders. This role also involves optimizing processes, managing budgets, and leading Health and Safety initiatives to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Aero GT Division in Houston, prioritizing safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the division, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded by effectively managing costs, maximizing revenue streams, and implementing strategies to enhance profitability.
- Cultivate a positive work environment by actively engaging with employees, setting clear expectations, and promoting teamwork.
- Drive technical advancement within the division by staying abreast of industry trends and continuously improving coating solutions.
- Optimize work processes to enhance efficiency and profitability, ensuring alignment with monthly budgets.
- Collaborate with customers, Sales Department, and vendors to meet project requirements and maintain strong relationships.
- Coordinate scheduling and project timelines, regularly updating task status and completion dates for effective project management.
- Provide guidance for accounting processes, including invoicing and Purchase Order approvals.
- Conduct performance evaluations for Direct Reports and manage salary adjustments in line with company policies.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 – 10 years experience in a supervisory role within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
· Experience in financial management, including responsibility for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of a division or department, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding budgetary targets and driving profitability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees, customers, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical advancement and innovation within a division or department.
- Proven track record of optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Experience in project management, including coordinating schedules, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
- Familiarity with accounting processes, including invoicing, Purchase Order approvals, and financial reporting.
· Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and quality management systems.
