Summary:

As the Community Manager - Your primary responsibility is to foster an engaged, positive, and inclusive gaming community across our forums, social channels, and other digital platforms. You will shape the gaming community's voice, track sentiment and feedback, lead a team of volunteer moderators, and develop a community strategy that keeps players excited, informed, and involved

Qualifications:

2 to 4+ years in a community management role within the gaming industry or a related field.

Experience managing gaming community platforms (forums, Discord, social media) and utilizing tools for sentiment tracking and analytics. Background in working with moderator teams or volunteer management.


Top 3 Hard Skills Required

1. Minimum 2-4 years experience with managing a sentiment reporting tool like Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or Google Analytics.

2. Minimum 2-4 years experience with web forum software such as Discourse or backend software like WordPress.

3. Minimum 2-4 years experience with interacting with communities, managing sentiment, and organising moderators."


Typical Day in the Role

This role will be partnering with external development teams and coordinating with internal teams for support. Ensuring the product's market performance and community engagement, manage relationships with marketing, and oversee live operations and ongoing support for the game. Proficiency with social media and community management tools; familiarity with sentiment analysis platforms is a plus. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various projects in a fast-paced environment. Passionate about strategy games and familiar with the challenges and intricacies of managing game communities. Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Ability to think strategically, with a creative mindset for engaging players.


Candidate Requirements:

* Dis-qualifiers: Candidates with no experience in the gaming industry or with gaming audiences and having Community management experience non-gaming related will not be eligible for the role.

  • The ideal resume would contain experience in the PC game genre, particularly with strategy games. They should have experience working in community management, such as managing a Steam community or similar gaming platforms and they should be able to provide demonstrable examples of their interactions with gaming communities and how they have driven engagement.
