Position Description:

  • Lead ongoing warranty investigation for radio frequency & security products.
  • Review customer claims to discover and track repair trends.
  • Manage ordering and analysis of returned parts with each supplier.
  • Systematically track and organize data for all radio frequency & security components for all programs including repair rate, costs per repair, total cost, etc. using data analytics tools.
  • Present status of quality improvement and issue resolution to upper management.
  • Coordinate testing and validation of improvements.
  • Update field service manual instructions as needed.
  • Support field service technicians with troubleshooting difficult issues.
  • Becoming an expert with radio frequency and security subsystems is critical to success.
  • Support development of new key fob a. Work with lead engineer to take responsibility of a subset of requirements.
  • Lead design reviews with internal and external teams including suppliers.
  • Manage conflicting direction from multiple teams to determine optimal solution.
  • Create test methods and build test bench to validate early prior to vehicle level testing.
  • Test on HIL, breadboard, vehicle, etc. to fully validate.
  • Support programs through launch by leading issue resolution and presenting status to management.
  • Ensure external requirements such as FMVSS, ECE, and other regulatory or legal requirements are met.
  • Learn from current model quality issues to build robust FMA documentation.

Skills Required:

  • Experience with vehicle network tools including CANalyzer.
  • Experience with developing devices that communicate using wireless technology, such as NFC, BLE, UWB - is a plus.

Experience Required:

  • Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience with design and testing of Automotive electrical systems - hardware, software, and systems.
