ABOUT US:
Intra-American Metals, Inc. (INTRAMETCO) is a physical commodity trader of metal products specializing in recycled materials. Founded in 1979 the company continues to grow and expands into new markets. Based in Noblesville, Indiana, we conduct business around the globe using the strong relationships we have established. Intra-American Metals Logistics, LLC is the warehouse and transload facility for the company.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for day-to-day execution, forklift unload/reload of 53ft vans, 20-40ft sea containers and flatbed trucks etc. Also, inbound grading of material using XRF gun in addition to insulated copper wire grading. This role is responsible for implementing and ensuring internal compliance to operational and strategic initiatives. This position will facilitate, manage, and administer all daily activities of warehouse logistics.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (including but not limited to)
- Record keeping of daily inbound & outbound shipments.
- Forklift operation – unload and reload trucks.
- Communication with truckers.
- Maintaining daily receiving & shipping schedule.
- Waybills/BOL/PL firm understanding of company document package.
- Utilize current support structure to focus on customer/supplier issues efficiently
- Understand all business units including material claims, processing reports, and contract pricing structures.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and document preparation for monthly fiscal check. (Department closing with accounting department)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or 3-5 years of manufacturing/operations/warehouse/logistics experience, including a minimum of 2-3 years of manager experience.
- Respect Workplace Safety Program
- Forklift proficient or able to fully complete on-site certification program provided by the company.
- Ability to multi-task and complete such tasks accurately and in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid interpersonal skills to work with direct vendors and end customers at all levels of our organization.
- Analyze daily work activities to determine if greater efficiencies can be achieved.
- Meets management’s objectives of continuous improvement of logistics and material quality.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. High energy and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and utilize critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- On the job proficiency using MS Excel, AccountMate, ScrapDragon and/or other platforms.
- Must have a team-oriented philosophy in accomplishing department goals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized while working on multiple projects.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to impact the business related to transportation and logistics concepts.
- Manage physical warehouse inventory via database.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
· BS/BA or equivalent work experience
· Understanding of general accounting and inventory principles FIFO, LIFO
· 3-5 years of logistics/shipping and/or accounting experience preferably in physical commodity handling or industry specific
· Knowledge of INCOTERMS, over-the-road, intermodal
· English fluency is required with bilingual Spanish preferred
