The Austin Office is looking for an Appellate Attorney eager to learn and grow and who wants to join our team. The responsibilities of the position would include:

  • Take first chair responsibility at trial and on appeal in both state and federal courts representing our clients
  • Provide advice and consultation to other attorneys of the firm and to our clients statewide on litigation and appellate strategy, discovery, drafting of pleadings, legal positions, and rules of evidence
  • Advise the firm and clients statewide on prudent practices to minimize the risk of claims by third parties and to avoid litigation and clients on policies and practices advisable to minimize risk and legal exposure to claims


Requirements:

  • JD from an ABA approved school
  • Must be licensed and in good standing in Texas
  • Must be eligible to be admitted to all federal courts in Texas
  • Texas delinquent tax background preferred but not required
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to engage with clients and local associations beneficial to client interests
  • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skill
  • Spanish-speaking a plus
