This is a multi-state company in the restaurant industry, with a Fort Worth, Texas-based corporate headquarters. We are looking for a Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) to cover the Texas in the Houston, Austin & San Antonio area.
Position Summary:
The Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) is responsible for acting as the liaison between the brand franchisor and its franchisees. The FBC’s duties include advising and assisting franchisees in all areas of their business, especially those pertaining to brand standards, increasing sales, maintaining product quality & Service, assuring cleanliness of restaurants and marketing.
The FBC is responsible to uphold what is in the best interest of the brand, and the franchisee’s business as well as serving as a communicator of company initiatives impacting the franchise partner.
Essential Functions:
o Convey and maintain brand standards across all areas of operations.
o Advise and assist franchisees in all areas of their business pertaining to sales building, product quality, customer service, marketing, quarterly and annual planning, and business transition planning.
o Work with Franchisees to analyze all business segments of each franchisee market and devise plans to build upon those segments.
o Maintain a complete understanding of company products and specifications to teach and coach franchise partners and influence franchisees to uphold the brand standards.
o The FBC conducts visual or written evaluations on all store operations, products, services, and facility cleanliness during each visit to a franchise.
o Assist franchisees when they require assistance.
o Communicate frequently with franchisees on the state of their business and educate them on any corporate initiatives.
o Make store visits on a regular basis- monitor overall QSC – interact positively with franchisees & staff.
o Open new locations, train staff and help franchisor and franchisees with new store openings.
o Assist franchisees with their marketing initiatives as well as with LSM and communicate good marketing ideas that are working in other locations.
o Interview prospective franchisees and assist with their sales and training.
o Develop local custom training needs to enhance staff or ownership transitions.
o This position requires frequent travel.
o Maintain schedules, reports, expenses, upcoming events.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Food safe certification.
- Safety & Health Department Compliance.
- 3+ years’ experience operating in a multi-unit retail environment, preferably in the restaurant industry.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Understanding of business P&L and financial statements.
- Understanding marketing strategies.
- Ability to motivate and provide assistance immediately. Must be able to gain the trust of the franchisee.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint & Outlook) is required.
Internal/External Interactions:
Interacts with a wide variety of internal positions across functional areas. Works with Franchise Sales & Development, works with staff training and new store opening functions. External contact is primarily with existing franchise partners, potential franchise partners their staff and suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, trade organizations, and corporate management.
Leadership Responsibility:
This position indirectly oversees many store-level operations staff.
