Veterans Management Services, Inc. (VMSI), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking a highly motivated Team Lead-Contract Specialist to join our team. This role will support the mission of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in promoting competition and protecting consumers through advanced data analysis and insights. The FTC works to enforce antitrust laws and ensure fair business practices, safeguarding the interests of consumers and promoting a competitive marketplace.


Job Summary:

The On-Site Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the contractor staff and ensuring that all acquisition-related tasks are completed in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and FTC guidelines. The individual will also provide leadership, strategic direction, and management of the contract's operations, including overseeing project management, quality control, and communication with FTC staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage day-to-day operations of the acquisition support services team.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including transition, escalation, communication, quality control, and continuity of operations plans.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration between the contractor and FTC service providers.
  • Oversee the performance and development of staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality acquisition services.
  • Support and advise FTC customers on acquisition processes and provide subject matter expertise in the development of acquisition strategies.
  • Assist in high-level business and strategic planning and make recommendations for areas of improvement.
  • Manage strategic acquisition tasks such as market research, source selection, and contract closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with FTC and FAR guidelines throughout the acquisition process.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in acquisition, including 3 years in a management role.
  • 3 years of experience with PRISM (Procurement Request Information System Management).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact with senior management, customers, and external stakeholders.
