I am currently working with a well established construction management firm with a strong presence throughout the mid-atlantic on high value Multi-Family and Commercial projects.



ABOUT THE ROLE


  • Project Planning: Developing comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Team Building: Assembling and leading a project team, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Risk Assessment: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Permit Acquisition: Obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
  • Site Supervision: Overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Quality Control: Implementing quality control measures to maintain project standards.
  • Cost Control: Monitoring project costs and taking corrective actions to stay within budget.
  • Schedule Management: Tracking project progress and making adjustments to the schedule as needed.
  • Change Order Management: Reviewing and approving change orders.
  • Safety Management: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing safety protocols.
  • Subcontractor Management: Managing the performance of subcontractors and resolving disputes.
  • Project Closeout: Finalizing project documentation, including as-built drawings and project closeout reports.
  • Warranty Administration: Managing warranty claims and resolving issues.
  • Project Evaluation: Conducting post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future projects.


ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

  • 10 – 15 years of progressively responsible experience in ground-up construction and/or renovations and restoration projects with a general contractor as a superintendent.
  • 5 – 10 years of experience as a LEAD Project Manager on professional construction sites
  • Advanced construction knowledge, including means and methods.
  • Ability to effectively lead on-site project personnel to ensure completion of the project on time and within budget.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Familiarity with construction management software; experience with Procore preferred.
  • Strong leadership qualities and negotiation skills.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to successfully meet the requirements of a pre-employment selection assessment (CMA Assessment), and background check.
