Life Services Alternatives, Inc. (LSA) is a California non-profit Corporation serving persons with developmental
disabilities. Our Mission is: “to provide exceptional community living and programs for adults with developmental disabilities.” LSA currently serves homes under license from the Department of Social Services. LSA operates in Santa Clara County, CA.
POSITION: Marketing and Development Coordinator
WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday, as scheduled with your manager, 30 hours a week
REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing
FLSA & STATUS: Non-exempt, hourly, Part-time 75%
PAY SCALE: $22.00 per hour - $28.00 per hour (DOE)
Job description:
The Marketing and Development Coordinator assists the Director of Marketing by performing essential marketing and development
tasks. This role involves supporting the Marketing and Development teams in implementing engagement plans using the Customer Relationship Management system, HubSpot.
● Build tracking and contact dashboards and optimize database usage for marketing and development teams.
● Develop online engagement strategies to generate leads and identify key events for LSA to attend.
● Prospect donors and create lists for the Development Department, following up on leads.
● Assist in streamlining processes for development functions and support special projects and brainstorming sessions.
● Attend Board of Directors and committee meetings, manage records, summarize discussions, and distribute minutes.
● Provide administrative support such as ordering supplies and organizing catering for events.
● Prepare reports on prospective membership targets and assist the Development Department with HubSpot.
● Update contact records in databases and maintain membership materials.
● Support logistics for LSA events and distribute marketing communications through various platforms.
● Compose meeting minutes for planning calls and help set up on-site events.
● Meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations while working on platforms like Zoom, MS Office, HubSpot, and Canva.
● Generate reports and complete other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Incoming college seniors or recent college graduates preferred
2. Time management and follow-up skills with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize a workload and handle several tasks
simultaneously to meet deadlines
3. Ability to prioritize attention to detail and communicate cross-functionally across teams and departments
4. The ability to observe, ask questions, listen actively, and give and accept feedback effectively
5. Excellent written and communication skills
6. A high energy level, adaptability, patience, and ability to work in a team environment
7. Proficient in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
8. Competence in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides & Calendar
9. Current authorization to work in the U.S. with legal documentation
Additional Requirements:
o This position is a mandated reporter and is required to observe all consumers rights, report unusual occurrences as specified in Title 22, California Code of Regulations.
o May hold a valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and a good driving record, and may require and undergo fingerprint and criminal record check, and provide results of health screening and TB testing.
Working Environment:
Typical Working Conditions: Primary work location is indoors, outdoors for leisure activities.
Risk/Safety Conditions, Essential Physical Activities to include: walking, sitting, hearing, seeing up close, talking, standing, finger movement, repetitive motions. Maintains sufficient strength, agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in this job description. May be required to lift up to 10 lbs.
