Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for optimizing supply chains and negotiating with precision? As a Technical Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in managing purchasing operations to support our organization’s goals efficiently and cost-effectively. From sourcing raw materials to coordinating deliveries, your expertise will ensure seamless operations and inventory optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source equipment, goods, and services while managing vendor relationships.
- Review purchase requisitions and collaborate with suppliers to gather critical details such as pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate vendor quotes, ensuring alignment with requirements, budgets, and business goals before issuing purchase orders.
- Negotiate and finalize purchase agreements, securing the best terms and value.
- Confirm item receipt accuracy and resolve shipment discrepancies with suppliers.
- Contribute to the development and execution of innovative purchasing strategies to drive cost savings and streamline processes.
- Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within scope and budgetary limits.
- Process purchase orders for OEM, aftermarket, stock items, and fabrication projects across multiple brands.
- Maintain accurate records by scanning and archiving purchase orders in SharePoint.
- Support inventory management by updating min/max data for stock and raw materials.
- Update commodity pricing in the database as directed by management.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of purchasing experience in subcontracting, manufacturing, or project-based environments.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Expertise in sourcing and vendor management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-focused.
- Strong analytical abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Outstanding negotiation skills to drive optimal outcomes.
