About the Opportunity

As an Ambient Biosciences Scientist II, you will have a vital role in helping us explore new applications of our stabilization process. We are looking for a versatile scientist with strong fundamentals in cell biology, molecular biology and/or biochemistry who is looking to apply their proven technical abilities in solving problems related to the stabilization of biological materials and who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

This position may require limited domestic travel.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Maintain mammalian cell cultures and utilize technical expertise to design experiments and execute cell-based assays to support ongoing-projects.

Use both new and existing analytical methods to evaluate the stability of cells, lipid nanoparticles, proteins, and other biological materials. Required methods may include UV/VIS, fluorescence, ELISAs, PCR, and enzymatic methods.

Independently design and execute experiments, critically analyze and interpret data, and plan next steps.

Maintain clear, accurate, and timely records and document all laboratory activities.

Partner with supervisor, engineering team, and or other cross-functional team members to optimize our stabilization process for new applications, support investigations, and design and test new product offerings.

Communicate results effectively to internal and external stakeholders both in writing and orally.

Comply with all company policies and standards including documentation, safety, and quality practices.

About You:

• You possess a master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or a related field or have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
• You are excited to work in a fast-paced and dynamic laboratory setting.
• You are highly self-motivated and love to learn.
• Have strong fundamentals in biology and/or biochemistry.
• Are proficient with aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture/transfection.
• You possess good organization and documentation experience.
• Experience working in a R&D or startup environment strongly preferred.
• Experience with flow cytometry, lipid nanoparticles, Cryo-EM, or statistical analysis is a plus.
• Experience with HPLC/LCMS systems is a plus.
• Experience with formulation development and stability study design is a plus.
