We are looking for a Lead Technician for our Front Half Days shift (FHD) to help full-scale production of the Kuiper satellites.The success of Kuiper depends on the quality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, throughput, and security of the products that you deliver. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail oriented while showing the highest standards of execution.Key job responsibilities- Driving and developing departmental continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation.- Assemble mechanical and electrical satellite components, sub-assemblies, and integration assemblies, fabricating and/or processing materials into complex manufactured products, and operating testing equipment and tooling, all in a Cleanroom and ESD control environment.- Lead process work and review output for quality and adherence to standards and procedures- Lead daily team meeting facilitation, end-of-shift reporting, and coordinating efforts to minimize production interruptions.- Support new-hire training programs within your department and contribute to development and modification of training programs. You develop training plans for your team and are responsible for implementing training programs within your department.- Drive safety standards and operations protocol while ensuring team compliance.Additional Requirements:- Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams on both early hardware development and setting the stage for later production hardware manufacturing processes. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - High school or equivalent diploma- 4+ years relevant high traceability manufacturing experience (Aerospace / Medical, etc.)- 4+ years of hands-on work experience Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration and/ or Harness Integration experience- 4+ years experience in a fast-paced production environment with Flight Hardware- 4+ years of hand on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters, torque wrenches) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 1+ years prior leadership experience, to include leading teams, projects or people- Experience bringing teams and processes from development to production- Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license- Able to read, interpret and work from engineering documentation and/ or drawings- Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements- Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment- Previous military service a plusAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $63,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $104,600/year in our highest geographic market.
