The Sourcing Analyst - Indirect Services will focus on procurement and contract requests on behalf of Newell Brands. The purpose of this role is to create and maintain value through internal stakeholder collaboration, supply base optimization, leveraging Newell's size, as well as deployment of effective controls and processes. As such, responsibilities include managing the purchase requisition process, supplier negotiations, analytics, collaborating and developing sourcing strategies. This is a global role with sourcing responsibility for the Travel and Entertainment category for all regions globally. Category assistance in other areas may include combination of any of the following: Marketing, eComm, IT, Human Resources, MRO, Facilities, Utilities, and Capital.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage, collaborate, and negotiate with our travel management agency
  • Project management to include evaluating and recommending opportunities to ensure that the desired business results are achieved based on best total value (savings, quality, delivery, etc.)
  • Review and process supplier requests each month to enable better challenge of supplier proliferation and stronger control of adherence to payment terms policies.
  • Contract management in Ariba to ensure adherence to our contract signature workflow, ensure we continue developing our Ariba repository and minimize savings leakage.
  • Review Ariba purchase requisitions for all categories.
  • Assist stakeholders with routine requests for invoice and Ariba support.
  • Assist in all data cleanse and reporting functions necessary for category managers to reliably use spend reports and other reports to manage the category.
  • Understand and drive purchasing measures including productivity, payment terms targets, etc.
  • Share accountability for Indirect sourcing cost and productivity for all business units and regions globally
  • Assist and/or lead negotiations with suppliers.
  • Utilize Sourcing tools to drive cost savings.Proven track record of results in a fast-changing environment - execution-oriented and always delivers metrics
  • Prioritize timelines and needs of multiple projects at the same time
  • Manage needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders in multiple roles across the organization
  • Drive timelines to completion on committed project dates
  • Work effectively with Newell Brands stakeholders in all regions and sites globally to meet business KPIs
  • Emulate and drive Newell Brands' Procurement culture and vision for integrity, attitude, leadership, teamwork and results

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 0-3 years of applicable experience including Sourcing and Supply Chain
  • Previous experience with Consumer Goods Product Company, a plus
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience required
  • Excellent analytical and project leadership skills
  • Effectively prioritizes multiple demands and heavy workload
  • Ability to analyze and draw conclusions in order to make decisions with sometimes limited data
  • Approximately 10% travel required
  • Advanced Excel experience and skills
  • Relevant SAP experience, advanced SAP experience is highly desirably
