We at The Structures Company have an opportunity for you as an Aerospace Test Engineer - Production Acceptance.

Responsibilities:

  • Design tests plans and equipment for build validation of complex mechanical, propulsion, or avionics components and systems.
  • Conceives simple/elegant solutions to task challenges.
  • Author of technical production test documents.
  • Write test plans and procedures to define and support execution of tests within 3DX Delmia software platform.
  • Interface with internal customers on integrated program teams to establish and verify specific test objectives.
  • Coordinates, prepares, and organizes materials for team meetings and reviews.
  • Work with support teams and vendors to procure, manufacture, and assemble test support articles and equipment.
  • Participate and drive the test engineering review, approval, and release process.
  • Ensures durability, reliability, and safety of assigned scope.
  • Identifies and resolves conflicting design requirements.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines.

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in final assembly asset systems testing or design.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline from an ABET, or equivalent, accredited institution.
  • CAD Modelling Experience 3DX or CATIA v5 Required.
  • Systems testing background.
  • Familiarity with composites and metallic primary structures.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with DO-160 environmental test standards for mechanical systems.
  • Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA are highly desired.
  • Certified LabVIEW associate developer or higher certification desired.
  • Experience using PXI, cDAQ NI Hardware desired.
