Patient Care Partner-Float Pool-Per Diem

This job involves providing general support tasks both clinically and non-clinically at the Hospital. You will be part of the patient care team, assisting patients of all age groups from newborns to geriatrics.
The Care Partner role includes maintaining competency levels for specific age groups in the patient care area, addressing physical, communication, safety, nutrition, and psychosocial needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you need to be a High School Graduate or Equivalent. Additionally, you must have completed a CNA training course, have at least 1 year of experience in a nurse aide role, or be enrolled in a licensed nurse education program with a fundamentals of nursing course completed.
Responsibilities:
- Lifting, turning, and positioning patients utilizing Safe Patient Handling equipment (> 35 pounds).
- Observing and assisting confused or difficult patients with AM/PM Hygiene care.
- Performing tasks such as toileting, shaving, washing, feeding, and assisting with exercises.
- Recording vital signs, performing and recording specimen collection accurately.
- Supporting patient safety and satisfaction, maintaining a clean environment, and recognizing emergency situations.
Other Duties:
- Assisting in orienting new personnel and serving as a role model for other employees.
- Participating in community activities and attending unit council meetings.
The pay for this position ranges from $15.91 to $23.81 per hour.
