Administration Center Business Assistant

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following.
Other duties as assigned**:
- Assist the Business Manager with various duties related to payroll and contract management.
- Responsible for managing the district volunteer background check database.
- Ensure that the district is compliant with Indiana Code , which requires employees to complete a new background check every five years of employment.
- Manage Employee Leave records.
- Collect and submit data for various Human Resources reports.
- Aid in district retirement calculations for certified and classified employees.
- Assist with the collection of the district student ADM count.
- Act as backup for Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivables processes.
- Perform duties related to record retention management.
- Responsible for WorkOne/DWD reporting.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate's Degree and 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience using Microsoft Excel required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid state driver's license - operator's permit.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, and effectively present information.
MATHEMATICAL SKILL:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
