Court Coordinator - Intake Court

Hourly Pay Range:
$ $38.33

Job Summary:

Monitor and coordinate the activities of the Intake Court operations to minimize delays at critical case processing points and maximize court efficiency.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daytoday activities of criminal intake process. Work collaboratively with agency representatives to develop remedies for identified case processing problems. Identify strategies and methods to maximize efficiency of case processing and court operations
  • Devise methods to collect and analyze intake/misdemeanor case processing data on daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Provide interpretation and analysis of data for use in activity and outcome reports, strategic planning and effective case flow management.
  • Assist Chief Judge and Judicial Operations Manager with development and implementation of various projects, policy and procedures within the division and for Intake Court. Assist system stakeholders with development of policies, procedures for Intake Court operations.
  • Work with the Chief Judge and representatives of the Milwaukee criminal justice system to create goals, objectives and outcome expectations for Intake court. Design and implement methodologies to measure progress toward established goals and objectives.
  • Establish and coordinate Intake Court case processing meetings. Develop agenda items, prepare meeting documents, take, transcribe and disseminate meeting notes.
  • Assist with Interpreter and/or Felony Coordinator duties and responsibilities in their absence.

Minimum Education & Years of Experience Required:

  • Current Wisconsin resident
  • Possession of an Associate degree from an approved college or university in Paralegal, Criminal Justice, Public Administration and 5 or more years of experience working in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or Court Operations.
  • Possession of a Bachelor or higher degree from an approved college or university in Criminal Justice or Public Administration and at least 2 years of experience working in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or Court Operations.
  • Advanced experience with CCAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Teams)
  • Intermediate knowledge of CMS

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in the administration and coordination of court services.
  • Extensive knowledge of Milwaukee County's criminallegal system and justice related information systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of attention to details.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Exchange of basic information and recommendations with internal and/or external contacts.
  • Maintain sensitive or confidential information.
  • Explain and gather information, answer queries, or provide assistance to internal and/or external contacts.
