The engineer will supervise and perform structural inspections on bridges and ancillary structures, serving as the Team Leader.

The Team Leader is responsible for leading inspection teams and assisting in the successful completion of inspection/design projects as well as function as the Project Manager on moderately complex inspection projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader wanting to advance into Project Management

OPPORTUNITIES THIS ROLE WILL BRING:

  • Supervise above water and underwater bridge and ancillary design, inspection, and evaluations.
  • Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on field and/or design issues or adaptations.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and assists in proposal preparation.
  • Accountable for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
  • Responsible for moderately difficult engineering projects in field or office in accordance with plans and specifications.
  • Perform moderately difficult engineering computations and estimates in designing engineering projects.
  • Prepare complete engineering plans or reports.
  • Direct and supervise the work of entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.
  • Coach field staff on the purpose and processes of inspections and inspection techniques.
  • Make independent decisions within a general framework.
  • Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Relocation is available
Qualifications

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university and a minimum of 4 to 5 years of bridge or ancillary structure inspection experience.
  • Must have passed the NHI/FHWA Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course.
  • Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T) required.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
  • NICET certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
