Summary: The Materials Follow-up Associate will handle operational tasks, ensuring material availability, and inventory control for General Motors LLP Accounts.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure timely delivery of all purchased parts to support production
  • Act as main contact for suppliers, providing guidance on shipment schedules and contingency plans
  • Monitor critical parts, develop contingency plans, and secure alternative material sources if needed
  • Independently manage truck load arrangements and ensure cost-effective material coverage
  • Review part buffers and manage inventory levels
  • Document and address exceptions, maintain inventory accuracy, and process adjustments

Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other assigned duties

  • Ability to build professional relationships and work independently or as part of a team
  • Flexibility, strong organizational, and time management skills
  • Effective problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Qualifications:
  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1+ year administrative experience preferred
  • 5+ years relevant experience strongly recommended
