  • The role of Medical Director at Hampstead is pivotal, overseeing the implementation and monitoring of all clinical programs, new and existing
  • Responsibilities include providing recommendations for improvements to maintain top-tier care standards
  • Additionally, the Medical Director is key in developing educational programs focused on mental health and substance abuse to enhance the quality of care, tailored for young patients
  • Lead various committees and participate in clinical leadership activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
  • Advocate for patients, supervise clinical processes, participate in quality improvement projects, and manage staff recruitment and evaluation
  • Directly provide psychiatric care, demonstrate expertise in nursing services, and ensure patient safety and competency
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical and medical departments, overseeing adequate staffing and on-call availability

EDUCATION:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited university

EXPERIENCE:
  • Preferably seven years of experience in serving individuals with psychiatric disorders, with at least two years in an administrative clinical role

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in New Hampshire
  • Board certification in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with preference for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry certification

COMPLIANCE:
  • Aligned with New Hampshire's System of Care, supporting family-driven, youth-guided, trauma-informed, community-oriented, and culturally competent services
