Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop personalized care plans
- Implement respiratory care procedures based on patient needs
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapies
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate with the care team to conduct patient assessments and create effective treatment plans
- Perform prescribed treatments and educate patients on therapy
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to safety standards
- Provide patient education on respiratory diseases and treatments
Licensing/Certification:
- Current Respiratory Care License in the respective state
- NBRC credential
- RRT designation preferred
- BLS certification required
Education:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
Work Experience:
- Prior experience in ambulatory or acute care settings preferred
- 6 months of Respiratory Therapy experience desired
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer service-oriented
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Apt at gathering and interpreting data
Responsibilities include:
- Non-invasive respiratory therapy utilizing various equipment
- Performing therapeutic procedures such as CPAP/BiPap, oxygen therapy
- Understanding EKGs, electronic monitoring, and more
