JOB SUMMARY
Looking for hard-working individuals to assist in vehicle and equipment repair for utility line construction operations in Billings Montana.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requirements:
    • Interstate Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required (or obtainable within 6 months)
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 5 years experience/training in vehicle/construction equipment repair

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience repairing utility line construction equipment
    • Including digger derricks, aerial man lifts, drills, forklifts, tractors, backhoes, and cranes
  • Knowledge of tools used in shop settings
  • Understanding of DOT inspection rules
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements for equipment operations and maintenance

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge of vehicle/equipment repair techniques
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Familiar with mechanical design, welding, and fabrication
  • Use of diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Expect travel to field locations

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment used in utility line construction
  • Order parts for repairs
  • Perform inspections and maintenance
  • Maintain shop, plant, and parking areas
  • Ensure security of buildings, tools, and assets
  • Work in accordance with safety procedures
  • Respond to repair requests from field crews
  • Travel to field locations
  • Supervise lubrication services and paperwork processing
  • Work Schedule: 10-hour shifts Monday - Friday
  • Additional duties as assigned
