About the Role

We are seeking a Residential Therapist to deliver clinical services for Columbia Rose RTF and Willamette Rose RTF programs in Portland, Oregon. This role involves providing clinical services and supervision for individuals impacted by severe and persistent mental illness in a residential treatment environment. As a Residential Therapist, you will play a key role in training and supervising Residential Associates who offer round-the-clock support to residents. Reporting to the Clinical Manager for daily tasks, you will also be overseen by the ColumbiaCare Clinical Director to maintain clinical standards and enhance quality.

The Residential Therapist role entails conducting a Comprehensive Mental Health Assessment, Assessment Updates, and Treatment Plan evaluations. Additionally, you will provide clinical guidance and collaborate with facility staff and external professionals. Availability by phone for emergencies is crucial, while crisis de-escalation training will equip you with essential physical techniques.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Full-Time, Day)

Compensation Package

$6,250 - $7,250 monthly DOE/Credentials. Extra 5% Language Differential for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Fluency in Spanish/English preferred).

Salary Structure:

  • Unlicensed: $6,250 - $6,750 per month
  • Licensed Mental Health Professional in Oregon: $6,750 - $7,250 per month

About the Program

Columbia Rose stands as a 9-bed Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) aiding adults with severe mental illness, offering 24/7 care overseen by trained staff and healthcare professionals. Willamette Rose, another 9-bed RTF, supports female adults transitioning from higher care levels, including state facilities. Services encompass psychiatric treatment, therapy, medication management, skills training, peer support, and employment assistance, focusing on residents' well-being.

Being a ColumbiaCare Services employee qualifies you for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program and Oregon Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program as a QMHP.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) registration, which necessitates:
    • Advanced degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
    • Unlicensed Therapists must be actively pursuing or open to licensure
  • Meeting OAR's QMHP criteria involves at least TWO (2) YEARS of post-master's clinical experience in mental health treatment settings

If not yet registered as a QMHP via MHACBO, we will assist with your registration within 30 days of onboarding. Successful candidates must pass a DHS background check.

Physical Abilities: Regular tasks involve communication, mobility, and physical engagement, with occasional lifting and exertion. Completion of crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings is required, including physical maneuvers.
