Position: Human Development (HD) Intern

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture effective relationships with UAW, salaried, and hourly staff
  • Provide training and guidance on Collective Bargaining Agreement interpretation
  • Manage the administration of Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Investigate and resolve grievances
  • Oversee FMLA and medical leave processes to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Validate and report payroll entries accurately
  • Maintain and distribute employee information, policies, and tracking reports
  • Administer EEO and Affirmative Action programs
  • Conduct employee onboarding and training
  • Participate in disciplinary proceedings
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address inquiries promptly

Qualifications and Experience
  • Preferably holds PHR Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field, or 3-5 years of HR experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Thorough understanding of FMLA and medical leave administration
  • Knowledgeable about state and federal laws
  • Proficiency in benefits and payroll processes
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite applications
