The Director of Public Relations will promote and curate the Groundworks message for a diverse group of stakeholders including employees, customers, industry stakeholders, and financial partners.


Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute marketing communications plans that promote the Groundworks' message using earned media, message development, industry collaboration, and media connections to grow the Brand

Advance the work of and position the Groundworks as a leader in the community by actively engaging with coalitions and strategic partners.

Focus efforts on messaging and communications-related activities.
Develop media strategies that collaborate with SEO efforts to drive the site authority of Groundworks and each of the local brands
Develop plans to highlight the amazing leaders that we have a Groundworks to drive Groundworks' position as an industry leader
Collaborate with our internal teams to communicate messaging to our 5,000+ employees to promote culture and corporate alignment
Develop relationships with local media to increase awareness of the Groundworks. This can include traditional and non-traditional media outlets and should reach diverse populations appropriate for the market.

Work in collaboration with branches to develop and implement strategies that improve the standing of the branch in their local markets.

Develop and implement social media strategies to educate and foster community connection
Work to develop a highly local strategy that will elevate Groundworks' 15 local brands, highlighting the years of service and community impact
Responsible for the overall brand voice in the media and industry.
Work with staff leadership to manage local crisis communications or sensitive issues as needed.
What is required to join our team as a Director of

Corporate Communications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Advanced degree in a supporting field preferred
Must have at least 8+ years of experience in public relations communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism.
Knowledge of media and communications principles, ethics, practices, and techniques, including technical requirements.
Strong executive presence, comfortable collaborating on the company's message with senior leadership and key shareholders

Exceptional skill in written and oral communications, including business writing, news writing/editing for print and broadcast, conversing by telephone and conducting presentations to large or small groups.

Existing connections in the media industry is a strong plus for candidates to help further the Groundworks message
Require strong knowledge of digital communication platforms.

Ability to travel can be required to support our diverse geographic footprint. (1-2 trips monthly
