This individual will need to have diverse infrastructure experience centered around network and systems both from a hands on implementation standpoint as well as with design/strategy.

Job Summary

Responsible for leading collaborative groups to find innovative solutions to drive business value, mentors team resources and cross functional peers. Expected to formulate and implement changes to the company's frameworks to meet changing business objectives. Responsible for the management of organizations IT Network and plays a key role in the implementation of the Network strategy and continued stability of network resources. Provides technical networking consultation as needed to work efforts. The Engineer will be assigned to complex projects that require a great deal of detail for successful implementation and oversight.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Manage and resolve critical situations through effective communication with other business units, IT project teams, IT operations and IT service provider(s).

Manage operational budget and assist with annual budget exercise.

Serve as escalation point and provide troubleshooting guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex Infrastructure issues.

Work closely with the Lead to ensure Network activity aligns with the overall Infrastructure roadmap.

Work closely with the Network & Voice Service Delivery Managers (SDM) to ensure day-to-day activities align with overall Network roadmap.

Focus on consistent execution and delivery excellence of projects to the organization.

Design and implement end-to-end networking solutions ensuring close adherence to the infrastructure roadmap.

Place a focus on technical debt elimination as well as preventing new technical debt as outcomes of project implementations.

Engage in architectural discussions and lead direction from an infrastructure and daily operational support standpoint.

Leads IT Operational troubleshooting.

Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

Bachelors degree (BS, BA), Computer Technology, related technical discipline, or equivalent 10 years professional technical experience.

Network and/or Firewall certifications required.

Recommended Education and/or Certifications

Masters in business administration or a Computer Technology / Engineering field given additional consideration.

Cloud Networking training and/or certification given additional consideration.

ITIL v3 Foundation certification along with other technical certifications given additional consideration.

Required Work Experience

8 years industry experience in a level 3/4 network engineer role.

5 years of experience in the other technical areas listed above

2 years of experience with Cloud networking

or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Preferred Experience:

Experience with COBIT v5, IT Service Management (ITSM), ITIL v3, and continuous improvement including Lean and Six Sigma.

Experience with SSAE16 (i.e., SOC1) compliance requirements and management.

The Engineer Sr should have a strong technical background in Networking with some experience in Cloud networking infrastructure. Preferred experience with the following technical areas: VOIP/Voice related technologies, Firewall & IPS, and monitoring & automation tools.

Experience with IT project management and architectural processes.

Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
