Job Description and Duties

The reporting location for this positionis Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park in Big Sur, CA. This position will work underthe general direction of Park Maintenance Chief I.

Theincumbent's work schedule will be Wednesday to Saturday from 7:00 :30

This is a Chief Plant Operator, Waterand Sewage Plant Supervisor position. The Water and Sewage Plant Supervisor hasthe authority and responsibility to plan and direct the maintenance andoperation program within all the Big Sur Water and Wastewater treatmentplants. The Big Sur Sector includesPfieffer Big Sur State Park, Andrew Molera State Park, Julia Pfeiffer Burns StatePark, John Little State Reserve, Limekiln State Park, and Point Sur LightStation State Historic Park. Big Sur islocated on the California Central Coast and has one Grade III Waste Water Plantand five Water Treatment facilities. This position manages the daily monitoringand testing of the water systems, all reporting to the State Water ResourcesControl Board, equipment management, and related functions. This position provides leadership, training,and employee development opportunities to the staff.

This position requires a Grade III Wastewater,a Grade II Water Treatment, and a Grade II Water Distribution License. Positionmay require heavy physical work including lifting, pushing, or pulling.

The selected candidate is required tosubmit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprintingprior to appointment.

Training and Development Assignments maybe considered.

This position is designated not teleworkeligible.
