Job Description:
Calibration Engineer
Summary: The Calibration Engineer will oversee all measuring systems programs and Metrology systems at TIMET Toronto, Ohio. This role ensures that measuring and test equipment meets customer expectations and remains up-to-date with technological advancements.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the GAGEpack system for all calibrated measuring and monitoring equipment
- Oversee procurement of vendor accreditation documents
- Supervise preventive maintenance of internal monitoring and measuring equipment
- Assist with overflow of maintenance tasks
- Lead department leads on measurement systems needs
- Develop quality notifications for inadequate measurement systems
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead the TIMET Toronto Measurement System Analysis (MSA) program
- Manage other salaried positions related to measurement systems programs
- Lead procedure development/revision for inspection/ measurement systems
- Lead internal auditing on inspection/ measurement systems programs
- Lead internal training on measurement systems programs
Qualifications:
Competencies: Knowledge of quality standards like AS9100/ISO 9001, experience in industrial metrology, and familiarity with statistical concepts and metrology software tools.
Education and Experience: A technical/engineering degree with a focus on industrial metrology and a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing an industrial metrology program.
Special Skills: Proficiency in statistical concepts and software tools used in metrology.
