About the Role:

CI Solutions is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team at our Los Alamitos, CA office. The HR Manager will be the primary escalation point for the facility's employee relations and human resources for risk mitigation. The HR Manager is a strategic partner for our leadership team, providing guidance and recommendations related to People Ops, including analyzing time and attendance trends, participating in workers' workstation reviews, etc. This position will lead or support the compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and reporting requirements. As the human resource manager, you will have no direct reports, and you understand that you will support other leaders in their aspirations to grow and support their teams. This individual will be a contributor to the implementation of new systems and processes over the next year. Our ideal candidate has a background in human resources, business administration, or related experience, and the individual would be an expert in Excel, Google Sheets, or a similar platform. Candidates with experience working in an HR-related role in a manufacturing environment are preferred.

This role will report to the Chief Operations Officer.

This is a full-time, onsite role with company benefits based in Los Alamitos, CA. The role will migrate to hybrid after 6 months of onsite work.

This role's anticipated base compensation range is $85,000 to $100,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

  • Review people data, financial data, and other information related to the company's operations
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities by analyzing data, developing reporting, and engaging with internal stakeholders
  • Maintain knowledge of existing and developing laws/regulations related to human resources function and the company's industry, assessing and explaining how new requirements may affect the business' risk exposure
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for employee relations inquiries for the HR team and conduct investigations as necessary
  • Serve as primary contact with workers' compensation partner regarding claims activities
  • Contribute to risk management initiatives in the facility and companywide
  • Provide change management support when rolling out new People & Culture processes and initiatives
  • Supports the performance management and review process, including corrective actions as necessary
  • Lead and support direct reports to foster growth and development within the company

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administrator, Risk Management, or related field, with preference given to those with experience in manufacturing environment
  • Holds at least one of the following HR certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or similar platforms, with the ability to create complex reports and manipulate large data sets
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics
  • Prior experience supervising/managing a team is preferred
  • Proven experience in project management, including ideation, planning, delegation, monitoring and follow-up to ensure successful completion and desired results.
  • Experience in risk management and workers' compensation initiatives is a plus, as this role includes tasks related to safety and risk mitigation
  • Prior experience supporting the implementation of an HRIS preferred
  • Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar platform is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working and engaging with all levels of an organization as needed
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently, solving problems
  • High attention to detail, while maintain confidentiality of employee data and information
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries
  • Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred
  • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
  • Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome
  • Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor
