The Purchasing Clerk position is a dynamic opportunity that includes the following responsibilities:
  • Procurement:
    • Assist in the purchasing process for building materials, tools, and other supplies according to established protocols.
    • Compare prices from various vendors, negotiating with them to secure the best deals.
    • Generate and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
    • Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Receive and inspect deliveries, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
    • Update inventory levels and maintain accurate records using designated software or system.
    • Prepare and stage materials for customer pickup or delivery.
  • Forklift Operation:
    • Safely operate a forklift to unload incoming deliveries, move inventory within the warehouse, and load outgoing orders.
    • Conduct routine forklift maintenance inspections and report any issues.
  • Customer Service:
    • Assist customers with product inquiries and order information over the phone or in person.
    • Resolve minor customer issues related to orders or deliveries.
  • Other Duties:
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Participate in inventory counts and other special projects as required.
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and 7 panel drug test.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a purchasing or warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong data entry skills.
  • Valid forklift operator's license with experience in safe and efficient operation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and customers (Spanish and English)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical fitness and stamina for lifting and carrying materials.
