Overview:


As a Senior Specialist, Astrodynamics Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in a dedicated Systems Engineering team focusing on mission planning and scheduling for space operations. Preference is given to candidates with experience in the Space Command and Control (C2) domain. Join our team at the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, where collaboration and top-tier technical expertise are paramount.



Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to developing and integrating mission planning and scheduling systems for space operations
- Conduct software testing to ensure system reliability and performance
- Engage with cross-functional teams to address system requirements and resolve technical issues
- Create technical documentation and user manuals
- Stay updated on new technologies in the Space C2 domain
- Manage requirements and lead a technical scrum team
- Travel as needed (up to 10%)
- Work under general supervision

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Active TS Security Clearance
- Experience with mission planning and scheduling systems
- Proficiency in software development, testing, and validation
- Familiarity with astrodynamics concepts and applications

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge in the Space C2 domain
- Familiarity with Scala, Matlab
- Experience in SDA domain
- Proficiency in MBSE techniques for system design and development support
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment over a full build cycle

L3Harris provides competitive salaries ranging from $89,000 to $165,000 for this position. Benefits include health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. Program availability and benefits may vary based on hire date, schedule, and collective bargaining agreements.
