The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking a Post Award Grant Coordinator for the Office of Research and Grants. Under the supervision of the Assistant Provost for Research, this individual will work collaboratively with Pre-Award staff, Principal Investigators, Finance, and Human Resources for the purpose of administering extramural funding while assuring compliance with college policies and sponsor regulations. Specific job duties are as follows:
  • Provide post-award management of external grants including the review of award documents, coordination with Finance for grant accounting, and guidance for Principal Investigators in the administration of the award.
  • Assist Principal Investigators and Finance in interpreting college policies and funding agency requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Organize and maintain electronic grant files.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of award amendments and no cost extensions.
  • Assist Finance in providing information required for financial reports.
  • Manage subrecipient monitoring activities, including collection of audit documents, the development of analyses and reports, and assist Finance with FFATA reporting to ensure compliance with funding agency requirements.
  • Create, address, and process correspondence of moderate to high complexity with granting agencies.
  • Provide formal and informal grant-related training to faculty and staff.
  • Coordinate the collection of time and effort reports.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance to manage the timely closeout of awards.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of Cayuse software for research administration.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse constituents on and off campus.
  • Proven skills in relationship building and ability to work collaboratively across units.
Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum requirements are a Bachelor's degree with previous grant administration-related experience. Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with exceptional customer service skills. Ability to work independently with a high degree of reliability, accuracy, and consistency to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with varying degrees of pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Uniform Guidance and Federal Agency guidelines. Experience with Cayuse.
