Ranking 2 Job Duty Perform food management software data entry for menus, e.g. standard menus and menu rotations, special meal menus for all locations, food and menu promotions, picnics, and food events. Ranking 3 Job Duty In conjunction with the Assistant Director of Purchasing provide support for bid testing, pricing updates, menu and product substitutions, efficient and timely buying of food and food service related supplies, and vendor relations and evaluations. Ranking 4 Job Duty Assist in the maintenance of the Foodservice Suite System (FSS) for an accurate database for item files for over 10,000 items including but not limited to; recipe, purchasing unit, weight, volume, pricing, brand, and vendor link information. Ranking 5 Job Duty Provide support to the University Dining Assistant Director of Purchasing in developing and maintaining services of supplies to generate a competitive market and to provide uninterrupted supply for University Dining. Ranking 6 Job Duty Conduct food management software training for all management and administrative staff, including training newly hired staff; develop and maintain training aids for staff; work with staff on daily operation of the Foodservice Suite System (FSS). Ranking 7 Job Duty Responsible to ensure staff are using the Foodservice Suite System (FSS) to maintain low food cost, low inventory levels, and ordering food products efficiently; continuously work with staff to ensure cost-effective strategies are being implemented Ranking 8 Job Duty Assist in the special events planning process; create and maintain special events calendars; coordinate the creation of promotional materials with the Manager of Marketing and Communications.
