As a Financial Analyst at Atotech, you will partner with the Global and Regional Business Analysis teamwith the purpose of providing in-depth analyses to the regional and divisional business for the decision making and supporting in streamlining and harmonizing processes. This role will provide support to the regional finance functions as well as regional commercial leadership, Group Accounting, Group Controlling but also coordinate with other Global Business Analysis team members in other regions to cross-support other regions when needed and benchmark and define best practices for all regions. In this role, you will report to the Regional Senior Financial Analyst and Finance BP Team Lead.

You Will Make an Impact By: (Responsibilities)

  • Support financial planning process for the Country/Region in accordance with global standards, timelines in collaboration with the Country/Region's management team. This includes all major financial planning cycles, such as: annual budget, quarterly and monthly forecasts.
  • Ensure high quality for the planning of sales, margins, fixed cost, operating income and operating working capital (OWC).
  • Analyze financial data at Business unit and Product group level to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Assess performance of each Business unit and Product group and provide insights into the areas that need attention.
  • Benchmark Standard Operating Procedures between countries and regions within MSD and with other organizations to find the best practices for the Company.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting systems, and data quality to enhance the overall effectiveness of financial analysis and support for the business decision making process.
  • Be the finance partner for the Business Manager and Managing Director of the Country/ Region to provide necessary and requested financial information. Ensure that the senior management understands key drivers through insightful presentations. Develops a professional relation with the business teams to determine and assess the business prospects and feasibility within the industry.
  • Creates influential reports that will help to make the decision-making procedures more efficient.
  • Good communication skill with all stakeholders in the company, understanding the needs related to the business. Must have professional communication skills to express complex ideas in simple terms and to communicate comfortably with key stakeholders and higher-level management.

Skills You Bring: (Required Skills)

  • Bachelors' degree preferable in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance Controlling, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills especially demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel
  • 1+ years of ERP experience. SAP experience in FI and CO Modules preferred and BW system
  • Proactive in approach & a self-starter, hands on & able to adapt quickly to change, able to absorb new things quickly.

Preferred Skills:

  • Power Query (a plus)
  • Having experience with the other IT tools such as SQL/ Python, Power BI/ Tableau (would be a big advantage but not a must)
  • Business analysis preferably in multinational corporations.
