JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Pet Care Assistant collaborates with the veterinary team to ensure pets receive top-notch medical care.

  • Live and embody Mars, Inc.'s Five Principles.
  • Prepare treatment room and necessary medical supplies for veterinarians and technicians.
  • Support Client Services Coordinator, Veterinary Assistant, and Veterinary Technician.
  • Assist in holding and comforting pets during procedures.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests.
  • Provide care and monitor comfort of hospitalized patients.
  • Bathe and groom pets as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
  • Complete other assigned tasks.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND/OR TRAINING:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • At least 18 years old for certain duties.
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus.
