Preferred candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least one year of cooking experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
MD Anderson's Dining Services boasts a variety of dining options spread throughout the Texas Medical Center, along with an outstanding catering department and coffee bars in The Woodlands and West Houston.

Productivity Focus:
Responsibilities include handling short-order cooking tasks promptly and attending all scheduled meetings punctually.
Safety & Sanitation:
Ensure thorough daily cleaning and sanitization of equipment and workspace. Properly rotate stored food items following FIFO principles. Promptly report any spoiled or substandard food items. Adhere to safe equipment operation practices and manage leftover food items effectively.
Recipe Adherence:
Follow standardized recipes accurately, issuing food items correctly and maintaining bulk food preparation levels. Review computer-generated information meticulously and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
Flexibility may be required, including potential shifts or location changes based on operational needs. Cross-training and shift adjustments may also be part of the role's development.
