Title: Full-Time Chaplain (Must be Fluent in English & Spanish)

Location: Merrillville, IN

Responsibilities

• Emphasize the value of a compassionate mindset within CCA by fostering positive relationships with all designated employees.
• Adhere to the guidelines outlined in the CCA Team Member Handbook and other training resources.
• Offer on-call assistance to designated employees and employers.
• Prioritize establishing and nurturing transparent communication and trust within CCA and with the clientele.
• Demonstrate and encourage a collaborative approach with fellow chaplains and supervisors.
• Follow directives and guidance from senior CCA leadership.

Qualifications

In order to excel in this role, candidates must effectively fulfill each essential duty. The following requirements reflect the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.

A minimum of 5-7 years of comprehensive experience in a professional secular setting is essential. A degree in business can exempt a portion of this prerequisite. (Note: Time spent in religious institutions does not qualify as workplace experience.)

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies from an accredited institution, with a Master of Divinity considered advantageous.

Proficiency in utilizing various technologies is crucial, including computer software applications (e.g., Word & Excel), Internet platforms, and mobile devices.

Ability to comprehend and interpret complex documentation, effectively address sensitive inquiries and complaints, craft speeches and articles using inventive approaches, and deliver compelling presentations on intricate topics to senior management, broader audiences, and/or board members.

Proficiency in problem-solving, handling diverse practical situations with minimal standardization, and interpreting instructions provided in written, verbal, or visual formats.
