Field technicians support geotechnical engineers in conducting field observations and testing of soils, concrete, and other construction materials. They are responsible for preparing daily reports to communicate observation and test results to on-site client representatives, project managers, and field scheduler.
  • Training is a key aspect of this position, encouraging individuals at all experience levels to apply. The training covers topics relevant to the role and offers cross-training opportunities to foster future growth within the organization.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are mandatory, along with a high school diploma or equivalent. The ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. is also required.
Construction Engineering Technician Level I requirements & pay range:
  • Experience, secondary education, and relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Full-time Engineering Technicians Level I earn between $17.00 and $25.00 per hour.


Construction Engineering Technician Level II requirements & pay range:
  • One year of experience, secondary education, and/or at least one applicable certification are necessary.
  • Full-time Engineering Technicians Level II earn between $20.00 and $28.00 per hour.


Construction Engineering Technician Level III requirements & pay range:
  • Four years of experience, secondary education, and/or a minimum of two applicable certifications are mandatory.
  • Full-time Engineering Technicians Level III earn between $23.00 and $34.00 per hour.
