Position Summary

Develop and verify complex structural engineering outputs such as steel calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
Coordinate and review technical documents across engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams.
Generate technical reports addressing specific design topics.
Oversee designated project activities and participate in constructability reviews.
Provide construction support by addressing field change requests and nonconformances.
Serve as a mentor to junior engineers and designers, enhancing their professional growth.
Organize and manage the review process for engineering outputs outside of project demands.
Engage in and sometimes lead technical discussions with clients, suppliers, construction teams, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications:
Must be a US citizen with experience in managing complex concrete and/or steel structure designs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Proficient in detailed design of intricate steel and/or concrete structures.
Extensive knowledge of the AISC Steel Construction Manual and ASCE 7.
Skilled in structural analysis software such as GTSTRUDL or STAAD.
Proficient in CADD applications like Revit or Tekla, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Comprehensive understanding of engineering and construction documentation and methods.
Capable of effectively communicating technical issues in written and verbal form.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced in Mathcad or similar engineering software.
Expertise in AISC & ASCE 7 standards.
Competent in presenting technical subjects confidently.
Proven track record in resolving field issues and managing construction changes.

Job Types:
Full-time, Contract

Pay:
$ $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:
10 hour shift
Monday to Friday
