About the Role

The Human Resources Director oversees the daily workflow of the department, provides leadership and oversight to areas of concentration of human resources management, and provides constructive and timely performance feedback to the HR team.

This position reports to the Exec. Vice President, Human Resources.

Primary responsibilities include oversight of:
Recruitment
Training
Health & Safety
Workers' Compensation

Additional responsibilities:
Oversees employee communications.
Coordinates wellness programs.
Continually assesses the competitiveness of all programs and practices against relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets.

Provides direction and oversight in the development and implementation of employee relations strategies and programs designed to minimize and mediate workplace disputes, and to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Evaluates departmental procedures to streamline and/or automate processes, improve customer service, and improve human resources data management.
Provides necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the organization.

Serves on the Corporate Social Responsibility team, supports and creates policy that upholds the L2 Brands' Workplace Code of Conduct.

Manages the budget and other financial measures of the HR Department.
Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.

The Perspective and Experience You Bring Includes:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 10 to 15 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
SHRM-SCP certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of moving into the position strongly preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of and experience with Human Resource Information Systems
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
This position works on site in our Hanover, PA location. Office hours are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Mon-Fri. Minimal travel is required but may vary based on business needs.
