Join Our Team as a Reimbursement Analyst I at Provider Finance Department

Job Description:
The Reimbursement Analyst I (RA I) provides consultative services, policy and data development, and technical analyses supervised by the Manager V in the Acute Care School-based Medicaid Resource and Training team (SMRT) within the Provider Finance Department. This position serves as a subject matter expert offering ongoing education to providers and acting as a key resource for Local Education Agency (LEA) providers in a designated region. The role involves daytime travel, primarily within the state's Educational Service Centers (ESC) regions, including Richardson and surrounding areas.

Essential Job Functions:
- Attends work regularly following agency leave policy and performs assigned duties.
- Offers technical guidance to LEAs in the SHARS program.
- Travels to provide in-person support and consultation to participating LEAs in the designated region.
- Analyzes key performance indicators to help LEAs maximize federal reimbursement opportunities.
- Provides training to service providers on billing and claim submission.
- Communicates with various stakeholders regarding the SHARS program.
- Develops policy documents related to outreach and training for the SHARS program.
- Supports office and HHSC operations as needed.

This position requires travel across designated Educational Service Center Regions within the state. Candidates must reside in or be willing to travel to these centers frequently.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Familiarity with health and human service programs, accounting, and Medicaid regulations.
- Skilled in cost report review, interpersonal relationships, and problem-solving.
- Ability to interpret policies, use software for payment development, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in training staff, leading teams, and communicating effectively with various stakeholders.
- Capable of preparing detailed reports and briefing documents.
