Summary

POSITION SUMMARY: Manages and supervises all operations of the Emergency Department and Vascular Services at Carroll Hospital Center to guarantee top-notch patient care. Collaborates with the Vice President of Patient Care Services to achieve division goals and enhance overall service quality. The team's primary objective is to create a healthier community through individualized care and ensure patient safety. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans, organizes and evaluates processes for high-quality patient care
  • Provides leadership development to managers and staff
  • Ensures compliance with policies and regulations
  • Establishes employee work groups for decision-making
  • Responsible for staff recruitment and retention
  • Leads organizational change initiatives
  • Prepares reports on program evaluations
  • Collaborates with healthcare organizations to stay updated on industry trends
  • Develops and implements patient care management systems
  • Sets goals and strategic plans for the Emergency Department
  • Promotes shared decision-making and teamwork
  • Communicates effectively about Hospital activities
  • Builds relationships with medical staff and other departments
  • Participates in budgeting and performance improvement processes
  • Monitors and analyzes unit performance data
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master's degree required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License; American Heart Association CPR BLS
  • CEN, ENCP, TNCC certifications preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • Current experience in the Emergency Department
