Job Summary:


The Director of Information Technology (IT) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the overall strategy, planning, and implementation of an organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and operations.

The Director of IT will lead a team of IT professionals, manage budgets, and ensure the effective use of technology to support the organization's goals and objectives.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing IT policies, managing data security and compliance, leading IT projects and initiatives, and collaborating with other departments to identify and address business needs.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to support business objectives.

Manage and oversee the IT department, including budgeting, resource allocation, and personnel management.

Lead and direct IT projects and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.

Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with other departments to identify and address business needs, and provide technology solutions to meet those needs.

Manage IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and make recommendations for implementation.

Ensure effective communication of IT issues and solutions to stakeholders, including employees, customers, and management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

Minimum 10-15 years of experience in IT management, with a minimum of 5-7 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven track record of successfully leading IT teams, managing large-scale IT projects, and developing and implementing IT strategies.

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and technologies (e.g. cloud computing, data analytics, cybersecurity).

Experience with IT project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications such as CIO, CISO, CISSP, or PMP are desirable but not required.

Attributes:
Ability to develop and implement IT strategies that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and technologies, including cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity.

Ability to lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including technical staff, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Ability to manage change within the organization, including implementing new IT systems and processes.

Ability to adapt to changing IT environments, including emerging technologies and trends.

Ability to manage IT budgets and resources effectively, and to prioritize spending on high-impact initiatives.

Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with IT systems.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:


Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment (computer, printer, copier, etc.) stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 25 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
