The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motion (such as typing); walking including pushing, pulling, and/or lifting up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.


Shift
Day shift. Monday - Friday, up to 40 hours per week. Other shifts could be assigned if needed.

Job Summary
The Patient Relations Assistant is foundational to facilitating an engaging and positive patient experience.


The primary responsibilities include greeting patients, registration, insurance verification, cash handling, medical record preparation, scheduling appointments, procuring new patient records, communicating information with patients via the telephone and in person, and answering telephones.

This position supports efficient patient care and clinic initiatives for improving patient attendance and keeping attendance records.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will have extensive customer service experience and able to communicate in a calm and helpful manner during stressful and/or crisis situations.

Should have the ability to pay high attention to detail; work with a teamwork mindset; have data entry skills and respect confidentiality; be able to prioritize tasks efficiently; and work in multiple systems simultaneously.

Will work with electronic scheduling and registration systems.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Related experience and proven track record of providing exceptional customer service preferred. Prior patient registration, patient scheduling, medical records, and insurance verification experience highly preferred.
