Scope of Position

The Outreach Relations Specialist will be the liaison from CCHE to clinical and health related facilities across the state.

Position Summary

The Outreach Relations Specialist will be the liaison from CCHE to Federally Qualified Health Centers, Free Clinics, Health Departments, the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers, OSU James Network Affiliates to enhance community outreach, cancer prevention and screening education, evidence-based interventions, research, and program support/facilitation as directed by the James Center for Cancer Health Equity, Director.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: A bachelor's degree in education, Public Health, health services administration or selected field with emphasis in Community Relations and healthcare or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience working with underserved populations or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience working in a multi-cultural setting. Experience working in a community- based setting for at least 2 years preferred. Ability to initiate and maintain positive working relationships with CCHE staff and other organizations. Understand the community served - community connectedness. Good communication skills, such as listening well, and using language appropriately. Ability to build consensus, listen and manage customer issues as well as work with complex groups and systems is desired. Clinical liaison experience is a plus.
